Do you like getting out and meeting people?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.
We are looking for a special person to join our small but growing team, to help us deliver our walk and talk sessions in Horsham Park.
The Role:
We are looking for an individual as passionate as we are about helping others and who supports the idea of early interventions and self-empowerment as a way of improving emotional and physical health through the evidence-based practice of walking in nature and connecting with others.
Our walks consist of a reasonably paced stroll around Horsham Park on a Wednesday (10am – 11am) and are generally easily completed within an hour.
What skills do I need?
As this is a walk and talk role within the project, you will need to have great listening and communication skills.
A background in counselling or similar would be a huge advantage, but isn’t essential as we recognise that life skills are just as important.
Previous experience in a role with safeguarding training would also be preferable, but training will be provided.
Previous experience leading a walking group or similar would also be great, but not essential.
To apply please contact us and we’ll be in touch.
Thanks for thinking of volunteering with us.
